Cara gets married to Dr. Scott Fudemberg with Kyle in attendance; E! interviews Tyler

Congratulations to Cara (Chicago) on her wedding. The following was posted in a local St. Louis newspaper, the Post Dispatch:

MIDDLE AISLE: More than 250 friends and relatives toasted just-weds Cara Kahn Nussbaum and Dr. Scott Fudemberg at Westwood Country Club on Saturday night. For those who may have forgotten, Cara is the Wash U. grad who starred as the big dater on MTV's "The Real World: Chicago" in 2002. Her dad is former BJC honcho Dr. Sam Nussbaum, who now works as executive vp and chief medical officer at Wellpoint Inc. in Indianapolis, while Mom, Rhoda Kahn Nussbaum, is a lecturer in communication disorders at Fontbonne. The groom's parents are Annette and John Fudemberg. He's prez of Imperial Paper Stock Co. of Bridgeton, and she works at Temple Israel. Among those enjoying the nupts were Kyle Brandt, one of Cara's "Real World" roommates, and the bride's brother, Jeff Nussbaum, who was a speechwriter for Al Gore when Gore was vice president.

Also, Tyler (Key West) did a phone interview that has been posted at E! Online. Check it out.

Cara is working for Nelly to find the Apple Bottoms Spokesperson

The Apple Bottoms search for rapper Nelly ends today in Los Angeles. Yes, Nelly is looking for a woman with booty, to fill his shorts, shirts, dresses, and signature denim jeans. After today's casting call, one finalist will be chosen on August 25 in Las Vegas. Officials say that the winner will be in a Nelly video, appear in ads, and get items from the new line.

So what does this have to do with the Real World? After Cara's (Chicago) run with the organization G.O.A.L., an organization dedicated to battling depression, she joined Nelly in picking the finalists for this contest. Cara seems to be the only celebrity from the panel of judges. Others include the president of Apple Bottoms, the marketing director of Apple Bottoms, the president of VOKAL, and the president of Nelly's charitable foundation. Cara and her St. Louis residency might be why Nelly deemed her appropriate for the job. Thanks to Dan for this information!

Sarah and another castmember fighting on the boards; Cara speaks about depression, Abram will be chatting

If you go over to Sarah's (Campus Crawl) site at Sarah's Brain she comments about how another castmember insults her on a message board. It's unclear who is insulting her, but another online feud seems to be brewing. Thanks to Christina for that.

Cara (Chicago) was the focus of a CNN Headline News Health Segment this weekend. Cara (who goes by the last name Kahn, not Nussabaum... presumably her stage name) spoke about her bout with depression in high school. She also spoke about how depression rushed back into her life when she invited Real World cameras into her life. You can read the article online here.

And Abram (South Pacific) will be chatting at 4pm ET TODAY at this link. Be sure to catch him!`

Stephen arrested for prostitution; Cara's brother writes speeches for politicians; Las Vegas location confirmed; Rumors for Season 13

Welcome to the first blog of the site!

Let's begin with news of a past Real Worlder: Stephen from Seattle! It looks like Stephen has recently been arrested in Los Angeles. He has been accused of taking a car from it's owner without their permission. Unfortunately, this is a felony and Stephen was in jail. The Smoking Gun reported the incident back in March, when Stephen was arrested for taking possesion of a Camry. No word on what happened. But apparently, Stephen was booked on prostitution charges in January and failed to make a court appearance. At the time of his arrest, he was wanted for that too. As you recall on the Real World Reunion: 2000, Stephen mentioned he was doing some modeling and whatnot. Also, on MTV.com, it says that he worked as a talent agent for a website. The Smoking Gun contacted that website and confirmed that Stephen had not been working there and in fact hadn't heard from him in almost two years. No late word on this story as of yet.

Let's rehash some other interesting information of a current Real Worlder, Cara: For those of you who didn't read Stuff Magazine, Cara is the brother of Tom Daschle's speechwriter. For those of you who don't know who Tom Daschle is... He's big news in Congress... Also, Cara mentioned that the cameras reportedly caught her smoking pot and another one night stand that was not shown on the show. She told Stuff that she was misinformed of the hidden camera's purpose and believed it was for security.

And now news of Real Worlders future: It seems that the new season in Las Vegas seems to be a huge dramatic season. There are reports of a disagreement occuring between two roommates on the FIRST day. Also, Reality World TV reports that "the Season 12 roomies were the raunchiest cast ever...Remember the season in Chicago, when loose-caboose Cara hooked up with the singer from Big Head Todd? Well, she’s got nothing on the Season 12 hussy, who apparently did it with members of 311, Incubus and O-Town. And what’s a season without violence and the threat of dismissal? This time, there’s an inter-roomie fork-stabbing, blatant philandering, rampant Viagra use, crack, all-night ragers and pregnancy scares. Stay tuned..." Joke or no joke... It's going to be interesting to see what happens.

In confirmed news, the roomies will be moving in the 28th floor of the Palms Hotel/Casino. The Hotel is located on Tropicana Ave. a short way from the Strip. This year's cast is all over 21 because of the strict rule imposed by the casinos. So, casting was somewhat difficult for this year, selecting candidates seven out of 40,000+ applicants, ages 21-24. Reportedly, filming was moved back from January to February, because of casting problems. In late January, BMP held an open casting call, looking for locals to move into the house. The house is NOT a penthouse! It is a set of converted suites. There are rumors to how they actually get up to their house. The button for the 28th floor DOES NOT work for the elevator. So, either the roomies have their own personal elevator (doubtful) or they have to get off on the 27th/29th floor and go through a secret door. George Maloof, owner of the Palms, has confirmed that the group will work of the nightclub/swim/casino/bar venue Swim, promoting concert events, working, and whatnot. The Swim venue consists of sets of different colored pools, which are called "relaxing pools." Also, insiders do tell us that there is a jacuzzi and the house is PIMP. Also, production reportedly ditched their old cameras for new, updated, image-friendly versions. Plus, with the arrival of the filming of the Charles Angels' sequel "Halo", locals have happily greeted the Real World bringing its shameless promotion and production jobs, which is a lot more than we can say for Chicago. More info to come later.

Also, there is buzz as to which city Real World 13 will be filmed in. Close to production, it is rumored that BMP chose Atlanta. Using Key West, Denver, Minneapolis, and other cities as close second choices, BMP buys houses in several cities, chooses a city, and sells the other houses. And word is ATLANTA will be the site of Real World 13. Rumors have been circulating that Real World 14, will be another international season (Remember... Real World 4 was filmed in London) with the Carribean and Sydney as front runners. Rumors or truth... you decide...

Thanks and have a nice day!

Cast profiles for Chicago released; 9/11 may be profiled on the show

Hey! Told you we'd be back! Here's the news on the Real World Chicago! Trust me, it'll be a wild ride unlike the Real World has ever seen.

The cast:

Aneesa: A 19-year-old from Philadelphia. Her father is black and her mother is Jewish. She's described as a lesbian trying to find her place in the world.

Cara: A 22-year-old from Boston. A middle child of upper-middle-class Jewish parents, she's a student from Washington University in St. Louis.

Chris: A 23-year-old from Brockton, Mass. He's a gay recovering alcoholic who's been sober for eight months and regularly attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

Kyle: A 22-year-old from Lake Bluff, Ill. An all-American golden boy with good looks and athletic ability. Princeton University student.

Keri: A 21-year-old from New Orleans. A southern blonde with a seemingly limitless circle of friends and acquaintances. She grew up on a farm in the Louisiana and her family is deeply rooted in Louisiana culture and politics.

Theo: A 19-year-old from Riverside, Calif. An African-America son of a pastor who is a ladies man. His move to Chicago is the first time he's lived in a diverse environment.

Tonya: A 21-year-old from Walla Walla, Wash. A blond-haired, blue-eyed woman with a "Baywatch body." Neglected by her mother, she grew up in the foster care system.

While in Chicago, the cast worked at Piece (a restaurant), a beach, and a newspaper. It is unclear why they worked at different places, whether they were given jobs this year or whatnot, so we'll see what BMP will show. Also, the cast was filming during 9/11, so I'm sure you'll see something about that, because the Sears Tower in Chicago was evacuated that day, and there was widespread panic in the city. Also, if you haven't heard... filming began with trouble.

Supposedly, the day the Real Worlders moved in, a shooting occured in front of the loft. Attention was brought to the Real World house because of the Chicago Sun-Times reporting the address of the loft in the newspaper. Protests begun to kick the Real Worlders out. Things happened from there, cast members were offered the chance to leave the show for next season. We'll see what happens, but I'm sure it'll be a great season. More later. Stay tuned.
