Kendal attempts to explain why Piggy left the Inferno shortly after the cameras began running

The absence of Piggy (Australia) from the Inferno has everyone wondering... If you look closely during the first episode, you can see Piggy there. She obviously left, and was replaced by Christena (South Pacific). Since it happened, internet rumors have been flying about what happened. NONE of it was ever substantiated, but it was taken into account as the truth... Now, Kendal (Campus Crawl) gives her synopsis of what the Piggy situation meant... Clarifying a lot for the first time:

"The first one is about the mystery of Piggy. I don’t know Norm nor why he felt it his place to spread a rumor about saying that she had “OD’d”. Apparently, he had HEARD about things that happened down in Acapulco and felt the need to spread gossip when is didn't involve him. My problem is not with Norm, but with the way the situation was handled. Mike mentioned a brief sentence about Piggy being in Acapulco as well. Again, none of his business… but I know mike likes to tell the 100% truth. I know he meant no harm, as I’m sure Norm is the same way. I shouldn’t even be writing about Piggy either… it’s not my place. But... I feel like there are so many rumors out there that are just wrong and damaging to one’s mental health. I can’t even imagine the impact these rumors must have on her. I’m hurt by them, and it’s not even about me.

Piggy was, in fact, in Acapulco for a brief day or two. She was going through immense personal problems at home and to be down in Mexico was just not the place for her to be. I don’t see why people aren’t respecting her privacy with these issues. It’s insensitive and unfair. Even the production staff asked us all to respect her privacy, cut her a break, and forget it even happened. She wanted more than anything to be involved with the challenge, but was needed more at home. She gave BMP/MTV and all it’s viewers a personality that can be loved and hated by all viewers, and some insight into her personal life and character. So why must it continue off camera? Did you ever think that maybe people weren’t supposed to know about her for a reason? And don’t you think that if piggy had “OD’d” they would use that for dramatic purposes??? If the production staff asked for her to be omitted then it was for a good reason. We all know how much they like to make a big deal out of our nonsense… so I think it’s time we let the Piggy thing rest and move on with our lives. As far as I know, she was needed most at home and it has been a much better experience for her. Piggy may have been loud, but she was always willing to give people the respect they deserve. I think she deserves at LEAST an end to these cruel and insensitive rumors. *deep sigh* thank you."

David arrested for soliciting a prostitute in Chicago

Those amazing people over at The Smoking Gun, have found dirt from another Real Worlder. This time it's none other than the famed singer of "C'mon Be My Baby, Tonight", David (New Orleans). (If you can't remember that far back, David also recently appared on the Gauntlet as the first Real Worlder voted off.) Well, apparently David was caught soliciting a prostitute in Chicago. More details on the website. This is just a small part of the long list of former reality alumni who have been arrested after their short time in the spotlight. The Smoking Gun most recently points to Adam (Paris) who was arrested in Georgia while visiting Ace (Paris)... But there are plenty more.

Battle of the Sexes may have caused Arissa to get a divorce; 3rd and Arch is quiet and uninhabited

Thanks to Brook for this information... Arissa (Las Vegas) has gotten a divorce from her husband. Did you even know she was married? Well, if you were a fan of Arissa and following her story, shortly after her season wrapped, after she broke up with Dario, she went to live out in Las Vegas. There, she met a bodyguard, who would become her husband. She recently posted on the MTV boards that she has gotten a divorce. She also added that the fighting started when MTV called for her to do the next challenge... It's unclear which challenge she's talking about, but she later states that it just started with the Challenge.

And we got another sighting from 3rd and Arch in Philadelphia. Leo went down to 3rd and Arch and really didn't see any Real World preparations going on. The newly renovated Luxury Apartments don't look like the locale, most likely because they don't have the trademark, flashly lights or any new decorating done. The only thing that really could signify any body planning to move in, is a fresh coat of paint splattered on the Starbucks building on the the 3rd Street side. There has also been landscaping done... but no trademark Real World lighting. The Starbucks employees know nothing of the Real World moving in... But apparently, the clerks in the Betsy Ross house (next door) has even heard that The Real World may be moving in... But no real sign of anyone really gearing up for a heavy production schedule... Thanks Leo!

Murmurs from Philadelphia suggest that the house may have already been chosen

UPDATE: Apparently, mum's the word on this season for a lot of different reasons. MTV or BMP is refusing to comment on the status of the fifteenth season of the Real World. Why? Well, MTV has not yet committed to a fifteenth season. There is really no official word on why MTV has not yet decided to pick up the Real World... However, there could be several factors at work, one being the impending outcome of the San Diego rape incident. This season is slated to begin filming in April... which is usually late in the year. Some magazines in Philadelphia are reporting that Philadelphia was already cast and the house was already chosen. However, unhappy with the casting, producers cut the cast and recasted. The location we reported has seen NO ACTION from personnel from the show, but it is still widely rumored that they are living there.

According to a fan, Danielle, the new house for Real World: Philadelphia has already been chosen. Although filming is in April, apparently the site for the house is 3rd and Arch St. The location, which is also near the Betsy Ross House, is in the Old City section of Philadelphia. Recently renovated on the corner of Third and Arch, is a section of previously abandoned buildings called Merchants Row. They were converted into luxury apartments, with Starbucks and Papery on the ground floor. Also on the corner is an art gallery which is home to the Philadelphia Fringe Festival every September. The corner also served as the set for Oprah's 1998 film Beloved. And there's also an Italian restaurant on the corner named La Locanda Del Ghiottone. So it serves an interesting backdrop if it is actually the site of the new house.

CT and David are somewhat related and knew each other before Real World

Think you know everything about the Inferno? Well, think again... Did you know that none other than David's (Seattle) uncle is none other than CT's (Paris) godfather? That's right... CT and David knew each other even before CT showed his face in Paris. It's not the first time castmembers knew each other before even being on the Real World. In fact, David and Nathan both knew each other from VMI and were cast together... But what you might have not known, was that Nathan and David both knew Rebecca... As for CT's performance in the Inferno... he says that he's proud of his performance and that he did some damage.

Opinions of the first episode of the Inferno

Tonight's episode of The Inferno aired... If you don't want to know what happened (if you live on the West Coast) don't read... Also, this blurb is full of opinion, so if that's not your cup of tea, don't read it: (HIGHLIGHT TO READ)

So, the Inferno premiered a few minutes ago. This season definitely will have its ups and downs, but there are a few things to look forward to. I have to say, the greatest disappointment of the night was Ace (Paris) being booted. We knew it was coming, but Ace is too nice of a guy to play the Inferno. Then there was that whole thing with Mallory (Paris) being there and Coral (Back To New York) questioning his Inferno performance... You can't help but feel sorry for Ace. And we actually get to see Jeremy (South Pacific) actually be an integral part of the cast, instead of showing up in the last few episodes. I'd have to say... The best thing/most anticipated thing of the season? It's gonna have to be Julie (New Orleans). The fight between Julie and Melissa during Battle of the Sexes was a huge deal, mostly because it mostly took place on the internet. But the Julie/Veronica situation really captures Julie's competitive spirit... (as in she'll do anything to win... Remember the Extreme Challenge?) I'd love to see Julie in an Inferno... but I am waiting to see how Coral and Julie play out their situation... Also, the Mike/Trishelle/Coral/Kendal storyline also has potential. It looks to be a good season. Hopefully, it will be.
