This post describes the events of the MTV.com face-off. If you don't want to know the details of what happened, stop reading. Check out the Road Rules website to see the video.
Both Shane (Campus Crawl) and Veronica (Semester at Sea) are in a studio with Drew to find out who gets sent to the Pit.
Veronica says that the rest of the team was spitting out bull until the actual vote took place. Both Shane and Veronica believed it was a random drawing until they voted.
They show who wins the most votes from the "Pit Crew". Monte (Viewers' Revenge) and Tori (Viewers' Revenge) get the most votes and get their own montages. Veronica is asked how she would react when she gets back to the RV. She said she would persue a different strategy and perhaps start throwing missions. Shane (Campus Crawl) agrees.
Drew then brings out Monte and Tori. Monte is ready for the friendly competition and Tori is a little excited/nervous.
Drew then reveals that Veronica (Semester at Sea) got the most votes to be in the Face-Off. Drew then hands Tori an envelope to tell them which event they'll be in.
They get "Whiplash". It's a forward tug-o-war, much like the Gauntlet 2 game, but they're actually connected by a common wire that's wrapped around a single pole. There's three heats. Tori sprints out in the first heat and they both get knocked back, but Tori recovers and grabs the flag. Veronica falters in the second heat and trips, allowing Tori to get the second flag easily.
Tori makes it to the RV and Veronica moves to the Pit Crew. You can actually vote for the Pit Crew right now. Next week, Veronica could potentially face Susie (Australia) or Kina (Extreme) in a Face-Off, so get to voting. The next episode of Road Rules airs this Tuesday at 9PM.

Tori seems nice so I don't mind her, but I hate that Veronica's not on anymore. Now we have boring people like Adam, Shane, and Susie and psychotic freaks in Kina and Abram. Awesome.
i liked tori too. she didn't seem as attention hungry as the rest of them. she seemed like she really wanted to prove people that she was a good competitor. but i'm definitely going to try and get v back in the rv. you can say a lot of things about v but she seemed sincere about the lost and happy for tori. she didn't break down and cry like say, jodi or kina.
ok so now that veronica is gone, whats the point in watching the show, i guess we need to get kina against veronica, and hope veronica kicks kina out, and keeps her off! haha
I just don't understand why people would want Veronica gone. You people don't want drama? It just doesn't make any fucking sense. Veronica will be back! EVERYONE, VOTE FOR HER TO COME BACK!!!!!
i liked veronica because out of all the cast members, she was willing to play clean until she was screwed over. i like the show and all, but that was a very stupid pit challenge. they didn't even have to struggle to get to the flag. it should be physical challenges like them actually having to touch each other or something. veronica was a good camper when she lost. she gave tori a hug and smiled about it.
I dislike Veronica. Yeah, she made things interesting for awhile but it is the same old same old. Veronica would of started playing dirty before long even if she hadn't been "backstabbed"
I want Veronica back because I think she will fight dirty. Kina and Susie and Adam have this game all wrapped up unless somone shakes things up. Shane and Veronica said they would throw challenges if they had to. I don't think Tori would.
But I do like Tori so I'm excited for her. I like Kristen too so I hope she replaces Kina at some point.
Honestly, how great was Tori? She seems so genuinely sweet and sincere! She took out one of the most feirce competitors in MTV history and was so humble about it and even started crying because she felt bad! I agree its time to get V back on the RV, but hey, Tori should stick around for a while! I JUST LOVE HER

although tori seems cool, that really wasn't much of a "contest". after watching them in the pit, size was also a factor in this game so in wasn't like it was fair on both sides. veronica is like 5'2 and tori is like 5'7 and obviously she had more of an advantage. but overall, veronica was a good sport.

No one will watch it, and it will be cancelled. Bunim doesn't realize that people like the old shit way better than this overmanufacture Date My Mom-esque bullshit.

i agree is like an episode of NEXT, a show that I absolutely loathe but will watch because nothing else is on. Let's see who will make in on the NEXT bus...
Overly excited here that Veronica is gone. God damn that's good! She's evil and conniving. At one point, on the first challenges, I hated that she would be one of the first girls to get voted off. She showed her true colors the following times around. I say we keep her in the pit and get newbies in there instead of having the "All Stars." It's time for a NEW Road Rules, not the oldies. They are good, but only for the challenges. I say we get Kina to go against her idol, Ivory, the lesbian, on the next pit challenge.
Btw, Tori is so genuine and thankful. That's how I'd be, so she's an A+ in my book.
Veronica never stood a chance in the pit. Its a simple equation Force = Mass x Acceleration. Tori is bigger so she has the mass advantage. The only chance veronica had was acceleration, which Tori had more of as well.
veronica is an awesome competitor. she also has a huge fan base. but i guess her fan base didnt understand how to vote.
people voted for veronica cause they thought that voting for her meant she would stay on the RV. but i guess these idiots who voted for her didnt quite understand how the voting works.

I voted for Veronica because she's like a broken record. She's a whiny baby. Kina provides her fair share of drama, in case none of you have watched the challenges. I hope the four left minus Shane make it to the end with two of the new kids. I wouldn't mind if Shane was there, actually... just no Veronica.

I'm so glad Veronica is gone...now if we could only get rid of that psychotic bitch Kina. She thinks she is the hottest woman alive. I can't wait for her to get out her blue eyeshadow. That's a challenge right there.
