Alton will face Evan, Kenny will face Tyrie, Beth S. will face Tonya; Wes and Johanna will host

In two months, former Real World and Road Rules alumni will battle it out in three boxing matches to find out who's the real competitor amongst the group. Alton (Las Vegas) has agreed to face off against Evan (Fresh Meat). Kenny (Fresh Meat) has agreed to face off against Tyrie (Denver). And finally, with what should be called the title match as these two have had some bickering in the past, Beth S. (Los Angeles) will face off against Tonya (Chicago).

The three pairs will train for the next two months in order to square off against each other in a "professional boxing match" which will allow each winner to retire as an "undefeated professional boxer". No details are given about the organization is running the event, but all proceeds will go to charity.

The event is scheduled for October 20, 2007 at the Celebrity Theater in Pheonix, AZ. There's no word yet on when you can buy tickets but you can check out the website here.

Danny and Melinda, the third Real World couple scheduled to be hitched, may tie the knot soon

In the spirit of our last post reporting on Rachel (San Francisco) and Sean's (Boston) anniversary, we're reporting on the third couple scheduled to be married, Danny (Austin) and Melinda (Austin).

Way back when, when the reunion aired, the pair were aiming to have their nuptials in Spring 2007. I actually received a few emails that the pair is scheduled to tie the knot fairly soon, but I have no real confirmation. Danny, who is appearing on the upcoming Inferno III, and Melinda will become the third Real World couple to marry.

The other Austin couple, Wes (Austin) and Johanna (Austin) are still together and splitting their time between Arizona and Los Angeles. Those two have put off plans for their engagement until Wes finishes school at ASU.

Lacey finally opens her own salon in Tallahassee and wants you to party with the Austin cast

For the first time since The Real World: Austin reunion special, the cast of the Real World: Austin will gather in Tallahassee for the opening of Lacey's (Austin) own salon, Lacey May Salon.

If you remember back to the Real World days, Lacey was a hair stylist and she often talked about it and cut hair on the show. Now, she has her own salon in Florida.

So, if you're in the area, check out Lacey's salon at 110 West 5th Avenue in Tallahassee. The cast will be there from 4PM to 7PM. There will also be an afterparty at Elements Night Club in the Lake Ella Publix Shopping Cetner from 10PM-2AM. This will all go down on Saturday, February 10, 2007. So, if you're in town, go see Danny (Austin), Johanna (Austin), Melinda (Austin), Lacey, Nehemiah, Rachel and Wes (Austin) reunite for Lacey's grand opening. Jose (Key West) will also be in attendance.

Duel Reunion: Things turn up differently in a somewhat re-edited reunion

It was interesting to see the Duel reunion in its final product and then to see it as it was filmed over at MTV.com. The surprise that they pointed to when Susie signed off the air last week, was in fact, Tina (South Pacific).

After Tina said that she wouldn't show up to the show, she did. In fact, this part of the reunion was left out of the online version, as the show switched to an offline feed saying that they were undergoing technical difficulties. Susie announced that Beth (Los Angeles) had to leave the stage because Beth refused to be in the same room with Tina. Tina was actually rather diplomatic about the incident, not really being as boisterous as she usually is. She did not apologize or offer remorse though. It was a bit awkward having Tina there, as all she came to talk about was how she hit Beth.

Some other major details that were important: Wes (Austin) and Johanna (Austin) did not get engaged. The two bought a house in Arizona, a bar in Los Angeles, and Wes is actually going back to school at ASU. They decided that they wanted to have Wes finish school before they commit to marriage, and they're still happily together. Jodi (Extreme) bought a condo in Virginia and donated some of the money to a charity close to her.

Svetlana (Key West) gave herself a pat on the back for coming so far after being such a huge underdog. Brad (San Diego) also gave himself a pat on the back, although he really would've loved to win the money for his company Rockstar Racing.

Then the fights: Svetlana and Beth got into it because Beth accused Svetlana of being hypocritical for calling out Kina (Extreme) when she cried when she lost the Duel, as Svetlana did the same thing with her. Svetlana jumped at the chance to ridicule Beth and you could tell the two are no longer friends.

Then talk turned to Beth and Nehemiah (Austin) and that relationship. CT (Paris) poked fun at Beth and then Beth tried to turn it around on him and Diem (Fresh Meat), which sent Diem into a spin. The two accused each other of being fake, with it ending pretty quickly.

Aside from that, there was minor talk of other things. Aneesa (Chicago) mentioned how she grew up and got along with Beth. She also talked about her dislike of Robin (San Diego) for a bit, especially for what she said in Buzios. Jodi talked about her shortlived fling with Evan (Fresh Meat), which Evan also spent a small amount of time on. CT talked about his loss and how disappointing it was.

Keep on watching for the next Challenge: The Inferno III in Cape Town, South Africa.

Final Duel Aftershow: Wes sums up his experience and officially retires from the Challenges

Wes (Austin) joins Blair (The Quest) and is immediately asked about his workouts. Then they show Tyler (Key West), Eric (Fresh Meat), and Derrick (Extreme) saying he was hopped up on "performance enhancers". He said that he knew from Fresh Meat that he was doing the next one, so he worked out with an intense regimen.

He said that he felt the pressure to win after talking crap when he was partnered with Casey (Fresh Meat). Wes partnered early on with Nehemiah (Austin), Evan (Fresh Meat) and Brad (San Diego). He aligned with Beth S. (Los Angeles), Aneesa (Chicago), Tina (South Pacific), and Svetlana (Key West).

He talks about CT (Paris) and his fault in the Duel. He lost a lot of respect for CT, which caused him to explode. He talks about the deal with Evan, where they decided to take out Derrick (Extreme), Brad and CT.

He talks about calling Johanna (Austin) and breaking down a little bit. Wes beat Brad by 1:27, thereby making the two minute head start imperative for Wes (Austin).

Nehemiah: Easily one of Wes' best friends. His relationship with Beth is unpredictable.
Kenny (Fresh Meat): If you see Kenny, he's a stand-up, good-looking kind of guy.
CT: He lost respect for him and he's a beast.
Beth: Has a bad rap, a bullseye on her back.
Casey: She's a fun girl. She hooked up with John (Key West) in 2 days, which he takes credit for because he won her boobs.
Jodi (Extreme): She was excited the whole plane ride home because she won $150,000. The best girl won by far.
SVetlana (Key West): Good person to meet. Svetlana and Brad were the best friends he made on the show.

He says that he's back in school, he probably won't do something like this anymore. He makes the impression that he's done with the Challenges. Blair beats it out of him, and he officially announces his retirement from the shows.

The S#!% You Didn't See: Wes ridicules Evan because the Fresh Meaters were all alternates for Key West. Then the two wrestle.

Wes gives an interview about not liking CT for 25:07. And the producer sums it up at the end by saying "Uhh... Alright."

He says that he would reconsider if there was a $1,000,00 prize pool.

Duel Finale: wes beats Brad by his two minute lead, Jodi beats Svetlana after she falls behind

The Duel began with the cast preparing themselves mentally for the day. The cast is told to meet at 6:30am for their mission.

They are greeted by a helicopter ride to Rio de Janiero, where they fly around the infamous Christ Redeemer statue that opens up the credits. They then land to find their mission.

For the first part of the mission, they have to do a penalty kicks game to decide who wins the two-minute head start. Jodi (Extreme) beats Svetlana (Key West) 2-1, narrowly making her second goal on her last shot. Wes (Austin) beats Brad (San Diego) 2-1, clearly superior over Brad in his soccer skills.

They then start their mission. The first step is to run up a mountain trail to the puzzle awaiting them at the top. There are four huge puzzle blocks which they must transport to the puzzle-solving area. After they solve the puzzle or wait 30-minutes, whichever comes first, they run to another station in which they have to balance a teeter-totter with rocks and their own weight. Once they do that, they run down another trail to grab a flag to win $150,000.

They all meet up at the puzzle. Wes solves it first, only to have Brad solve it seconds later. Jodi solves the puzzle four minutes ahead of Svetlana. Brad narrowly trails Wes for the rest of the race, only to be beaten by a minute and a half, less than the lead Wes had. Jodi also comes victorious, able to finish the teeter-totter mission before Svetlana even gets to it.

There's a beautiful montage of the season, with Brad and Svetlana reflecting postively on their experiences. Wes and Jodi hang-glide to pick up their checks on the beach from TJ. And the Challenge is over.

The Duel Reunion show aired online tonight; Will be shown next week on MTV

The Duel reunion was broadcast live on MTV.com for the first time ever. Although it was not advertised at all, probably to avoid a substantial increase of web traffic on their broadband channel, we were able to catch the last couple of minutes.

Susie Castillo, MTV VJ, hosted once again, and nine Duelers showed up. Wes (Austin), Jodi (Extreme), Brad (San Diego), Svetlana (Key West), CT (Paris), Aneesa (Chicago), Evan (Fresh Meat), Diem (Fresh Meat) and Beth S. (Los Angeles) all showed up to the reunion. These were the last eight competitors, add Beth. Originally, Tina (South Pacific) was scheduled to be on, but she canceled her appearance last minute.

Here's some of the last minute things we caught, nothing too spoilerish for next week:

Evan talked about how CT had played the puzzle game for a while since Diem brought it to Brazil, by chance.

Beth is asked how many more Challenges she's going to be on. She says that she doesn't know, but the caller encourages Beth to keep doing the Challenges.

CT is asked if he felt like he overreacted in his Duel. He says that he didn't, he felt like he was the best competitor there and was robbed by a technicality.

Susie asks who's the best kisser in the house. CT declares himself to be. But only Diem and Evan can vouch for his kissing abilities. CT was the messiest. Jodi was the cleanest. Kenny (Fresh Meat) is the cleanest guy in the house.

Brad hooked up with no one on the show, because he had a girlfriend on the show.

The reunion airs next Thursday at 10PM.

Duel Season Finale: Brad, Jodi, Svetlana, and Wes compete for $300,000 in the final mission

Tonight is the season finale of the Duel. Watch as Brad (San Diego), Jodi (Extreme), Svetlana (Key West) and Wes (Austin) compete for the grand prize of $150,000. To find out who wins tonight, highlight this small passage: Wes and Jodi win the final mission.

Here's a clip for tonight with some behind the scenes footage:

The Duel Reunion will air next week; Beth and Tina will both be on, while Beth is taking questions

The Duel reunion will air on MTV next week. That means this Thursday, the final four, Brad (San Diego), Jodi (Extreme), Svetlana (Key West) and Wes (Austin) will fight for $300,000, and this will be the last episode of the Challenge until the Inferno III airs later this year.

MTV is doing something special with the reunion this year. They are going to be airing the reunion live on MTV.com. Although there is no official date or time on it yet, expect an announcement soon. This will be the first time they air a reunion live, and this one seems to be shaping up as a good one.

Beth (Los Angeles) is already taking questions at her MySpace, asking you to point out any questions you want her to ask other castmembers. She also mentions that she and Tina (South Pacific) were invited back, although no one else who was voted off early will be there.

Duel Episode 12/13: Interesting night of the Duel tonight with two episodes after a week of no Duel

This week, MTV returns with two episodes of the Duel, while we had to spend one week without a Duel episode. Here are the two upcoming previews for each of the episodes. One should be a male duel, the other should be a female duel. However, it shows that Wes (Austin) and Evan (Fresh Meat) clearly fight about some sort of strategy in the first episode, while the second episode (highlight to read)shows CT (Paris) in the Duel with Brad (San Diego), which CT loses. This is also where the fight between Wes and CT takes place. There obviously should be a female duel somewhere this night, but the drama seems to surrender the guys. This trailer, which is not being shown on MTV, also shows CT making light of Wes' relationship with Johanna (Austin).

Don't forget: A brand new episode of the Duel airs tonight only on MTV

Tonight is another episode of the Duel. Unlike previous weeks in which we have told you the winner and loser of the Duel, we decided to give a break. It should be a surprise, as the preview for next week shows CT (Paris) in potential danger from being sent home.

Like we told you when the season first started, there will be several weeks in which we won't spoil the outcomes. So, be sure to check out the Duel tonight, as another male will be going home.

For those of you who are disappointed, we'll re-hash the outcome of the season, which we announced back in July. To find out the outcome of this season, highlight the following blurb: The final four are Brad (San Diego), Jodi (Extreme), Svetlana (Key West) and Wes (Austin). Wes and Jodi win.

Aneesa will send Beth packing in the upcoming episode; Coral has a casting couch for Key West with Cameran, Lacey, Steven, Wes, Willie

Monday marks yet another new episode of the Gauntlet II. Again, the following are spoilers for the episode. If you want to figure out what happens in this and future episodes, highlight the following text:

In this Girl's Gauntlet Day, both Beth (Los Angeles) and Kina (Extreme) face the possibility of going home. While Beth is still aloof from the rest of her team, Kina, the more appreciated of the two, starts to feel the pressure of facing the Gauntlet. With team unity at an all-time low, the Veterans fail to secure a third win, sending Beth into the Gauntlet. Beth picks Aneesa (Chicago) to go into the Gauntlet with her. The long standing feud between the two forces words between them, but eventually Beth is sent packing after a anti-climatic Gauntlet. Only three Gauntlets to go... As we told you earlier, the Veteran women only had one more Gauntlet left, so Aneesa (Chicago), Julie (New Orleans), Katie (The Quest) and Robin (San Diego) will be at the final Challenge.

And a special segment that has been airing on MTV's Overdrive for quite a bit, Coral's (Back to New York) Casting Couch: Your First Look at the Real World Key West aired on MTV for the first time last night. Only those with broadband can access the episode in its entirety on OVerdrive, but MTV will be sure to run the episode once again. Coral (Back to New York) along with Cameran (San Diego), Lacey (Austin), Steven (Las Vegas), Wes (Austin) and Willie (Philadelphia) all sit down in Key West to examine Janelle, John, Jose, Paula, Svetlana, Tyler and Zach. While the show is sprinkled with footage of the season throughout the episode, the special focuses mostly on their casting tapes. But MTV also reminds us throughout the episode that you can watch this, other season previews and even a glimpse of Tuesday night's episode on Overdrive. For those without broadband, you'll just have to wait until Tuesday night at 10pm.

Nehemiah calls out Danny, Danny proposes to Melinda, the cast hates each other

If you missed last night's Austin reunion special, there's plenty of drama that you missed. Apparently, tons of stuff happened between the cast from the end of filming the show to the filming of the actual reunion special. Here's a couple of tidbits:

  • Rachel said she was on good terms with Nehemiah and Wes. Although they aren't the best of friends, she was glad that she knew where she stood with the two of them through out the season.
  • Danny and Melinda called out Lacey for talking behind people's back. While Lacey fully admitted to talking behind people's back, she also said that she wouldn't have said anything behind people's back that she didn't say to people directly. They seemed angry that Lacey had told Johanna that Wes and Melinda had kissed early on in the season, and then lied about it. Johanna defended Lacey, and Lacey said she told Johanna the truth the next morning. Both Danny and Lacey admitted that their relationship had deteriorated to nothing. But Lacey said there was no relationship there in the first place.

  • Lacey is still together with Ryan. Then Nehemiah made some off-handed comment about how it was easy to stay together if you weren't having sex.

  • Rachel is still together with her boyfriend.

  • Nehemiah professed to liking Lacey a lot more outside the house, after watching the show. Rachel and Nehemiah also seemed to patch things up as they took their friendship in smaller doses.

  • Wes and Johanna revealed that they were dating. During the final days in the house, the two got closer and once the show was over, the two decided to be exclusive. Wes is no longer allowed to talk to Wren.

  • Danny proposed to Melinda in Central Park the night before. The two moved in together and bought a house in Boston.

  • Susie, the TRL host, had asked where the cast stood with each other. This is where all hell broke loose. Danny and Melinda were saying something, then Nehemiah broke in, pointing out that Danny and Melinda had changed dramatically. Then it became a fight between Danny and Nehemiah of who had the bigger ego. Once that got heated, Wes stepped in and told Nehemiah to shut up and be respectful of a friend. Wes then accused Nehemiah of berating Danny and Melinda only in front of the cameras. Rachel then stepped in and said that the two had changed, ignoring her phone calls and emails. While they did hang out in Boston and Los Angeles, Rachel said that it was "horrible" and they could never "look her in the face".

  • Then, Susie, looking overwhelmed, after a very heated reunion, signed off telling the cast that they hoped that they would resolve their differences. Danny, Melinda, Wes and Johanna will all be a part of the Fresh Meat Challenge which should be airing in mid-2006. The Sh*! They Should've Shown, the bloopers episode, will air next Tuesday at 10PM. They will be re-airing the reunion special at regular intervals until then.

What's really news is the very short preview that they showed on the Key West season. Key West is slated to debut February 28. They revealed the names of the castmembers which are Janelle, John, Jose, Paula, Svetlana, Tyler and Zack. And besides showing the back of castmembers heads, some of them running a flight of stairs, and a whole lot of shots of the hurricanes that hit Key West, the promo revealed nothing but their names.

Nehemiah, Wes, Rachel fight on the finale of the Real World Austin

The finale of The Real World: Austin airs tonight. Danny, Johanna, Lacey, Melinda, Nehemiah, Rachel and Wes go their separate ways. How will BMP end this sixteenth season of the series? Well, it's a fight between Nehemiah, Wes and Rachel with Johanna and Melinda trying to restrain the three. Catch the finale at 10pm.
