Kendal welcomes a beautiful baby boy this past Friday

Kendal (Campus Crawl) had her baby boy this past Friday.

Mother and son are reportedly doing well. Kendal is now living in Washington State after a brief stint in the entertainment industry.

Congratulations to Kendal! We wish her and her family the best!

Celebrity gossiper, Perez Hilton, wears College Dropout's new t-shirt that Veronica wore

If you're a fan of College Dropout, you'll love the fact that Perez Hilton, the celebrity internet gossiper, recently did a photo shoot wearing one of the company's latest t-shirts.

Veronica (Semester at Sea) and Rachel (Campus Crawl) started the College Dropout company after wearing a couple of shirts on the Challenges. They began selling them online and the company exploded. Several magazines have featured the shirts. Paris Hilton has wore them. And now, Perez Hilton has worn the shirt.

They're actually debuting a new line of shirts, some of which have already come out, so be sure to check them out.

Six Days of Road Rulers: Shane is back for another round of RV tripping

Shane Landrum
Road Rules Campus Crawl

Age: 25
Hometown: Chapel Hill, NC
Currently: Chicago, IL
Challenges: Battle of the Sexes, Inferno, Battle of the Sexes 2, and Fresh Meat
Challenge Record: 0-4
Elimination Round Record: 0-2

Growing up in a military family was tough for Shane. Prior to coming on the show, Shane came out to his mother and he remembered the experience because he was constantly throwing up out the car window. Although he may have been ridiculed as a child for being gay, Shane grew to be a lovable part of his cast and a popular castmember on the show. He made it to the end of the season without being voted off and walked away with a trip around the world.

On the Challenges, Shane made it quite far in both Battles that he participated in, he missed the finals by two or three spots each time. On the Inferno, he was sent home by powerhouse CT (Paris), while on the Fresh Meat Challenge, Shane and Linette (Fresh Meat) were sent home by another powerhouse Wes (Austin) and Casey (Fresh Meat).

Rachel and Veronica do an interview to discuss Road Rules and College Dropout

In anticipation of the new season, Rachel (Campus Crawl) and Veronica (Semester at Sea) have both done interviews with MediaVillage describing the rise of their company which focuses on shirts they wear on MTV.

The most interesting parts of the article? The company will expand to great proportions this coming season, with new shirts and a new website being introduced. Another good little tidbit was that both Rachel and Veronica were considered, but ultimately you can't have a show that's diverse with two best friends. So, as Rachel says, "You can't have a Road Rules show without Veronica, so they of course offered it to her."

The season preview of Road Rules airs tonight.

Don't forget to check out the recap we'll be posting here as well later on tonight.

Kendal announces on her MySpace that she is pregnant with a baby boy

Kendal (Campus Crawl) recently announced on her MySpace that she is pregnant with a baby boy. She just went to an ultrasound where she found out the sex of the baby.

Kendal has been out of the public eye for a while as the last Challenge she appeared on was the Inferno II.

Congratulations to Kendal and we wish her and her growing family the best of luck in the future!

A very short trailer for the new season of Road Rules has cropped up on MTV.com

Over at the Road Rules website, which currently has nothing on it and should be completely revamped in the next couple of days, a trailer for the new season of Road Rules has opened.

One of the most important things about this trailer, however, is what it reveals. There has been some question to if the pool of replacements would be newcomers or alumni. This trailer makes it seem as if they are newcomers. A casting call back in November also contributes to this notion.

Nevertheless, the trailers shows clips from past seasons and it's a great feeling for old fans who have missed the show since it went off the air in 2004. Here's some highlights:

13 seasons.
(Flashes title cards of several of the seasons)
163 missions.
(Flashes past missions)
And miles and miles of drama.
(Flashes clips of drama)
Road Rules is back.
(Flashes title cards of several castmembers)
But this season the rules have changed, with an all-star cast, and a group of eager newcomers ready to hop on board.
(Flashes of casts getting in their RVs)
This time, you decided who goes on the road, and who gets left behind.
(More random clips)
On this Road Rules, you rule.
(Premieres Tuesday, January 30 @ 9PM)

The several clips that I could gather are all jumbled up into a short one-minute trailer. Here are the clips I could make out:

Missions:
South Pacific's and catching/bungee jumping mission
Extreme's dog attack mission
Europe's running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain
South Pacific's buried alive mission
Extreme's dune buggy mission
Northern Trail's WWF mission
South Pacific's bungee jump off New Zealand's Sky Tower

Drama:
A sound byte from one of the Ayanna/Veronica fights on Semester at Sea.
Abe's physical altercation with Donnell on South Pacific.
Pua and Ayanna's fight after Ayanna distances herself from the group on Semester at Sea.

RVs/Eliminations:
Down Under checking out their RV for the first time.
Maximum Velocity Tour checking out their RV for the first time.
Patrick and Derrick greet Angela when she arrives on Extreme.
Kina tells her castmembers good-bye when she's kicked off Extreme.

Random clips:
Shane and Darrell (Campus Crawl) dancing in a club.
The Extreme cast painted in their naked mission.
The Quest in Spain during a mission.
The South Pacific cast doing the tire-flipping, strongman competition.
Susie and Kefla freaking out on the alligator farm mission in Down Under.
Veronica bungee-jumping in the start of Semester at Sea.

Rachel and Veronica will not be on this upcoming Challenge

Contrary to popular belief, Rachel (Campus Crawl) and Veronica (Semester At Sea), the "mean girls" of MTV, have said they are not going to the Challenge.

This comes after they posted messages on their Facebook account. While it was heavily believed that we would see them in this upcoming show, they comment that they will be at the University of Michigan early next month.

Unfortunately, for you Rachel & Veronica fans, you might have to wait a little longer while until you see the "Mean Girls" again.

Darrell and Aviv are said to have won the Fresh Meat Challenge

Although we cannot offer 100% confirmation on this fact, we believed we have learned the winners of the Fresh Meat Challenge. Highlight the text to learn who wins:

Darrell and Aviv

Christina opens up her very own website; Challenge in Brazil is currently set to film; Denver is filming; Shane dated Ryan prior to Fresh Meat

Christina (Australia) recently opened up her own website at The Unphilospher. She's now a Los Angeles comedienne who's doing shows in the area. She has an upcoming voice credit for TV The Movie, a film by the Jackass crew. She's also starring on the upcoming PBS show "Mental Engineering".

So, the Challenge in Brazil is currently underway. According to various MySpace accounts which have been under scrutiny since filming began, the following castmembers are said to be in Brazil: Beth S. (Los Angeles), Julie (New Orleans), Aneesa (Chicago), Brad (San Diego), John (Key West), Paula (Key West), Svetlana (Key West), Tyler (Key West), Derrick (Extreme) and Tina (South Pacific). We can absolutely confirm that the following three people have already gone home. (Highlight to read) Using the current Fresh Meat as an indication of who's the first to go, it looks like Key West castmembers are being targeted with John and Paula both being sent home. Also, Tina is said to have gone home.

The Real World Denver is currently underway. According to this insider who lives in Denver, he caught a glimpse of a castmember being filmed outside the house this past weekend. Apparently, the cast won't be that hard to spot, as the hot tub is visible from the sidewalk and the cast is being scheduled for regular club appearances.

Theo (Maximum Velocity Tour) failed to make the cut in Last Comic Standing. As previously reported, Theo advanced to the semi-finals last week, but he was eliminated in this week's cuts. Timmy (USA Tour II) had a cameo appearance in the audience in last night's episode.

A movie that Landon (Philadelphia) shows up in is currently having screenings in the state of Indiana this month. Check out the movie's website for dates.

Finally, in Fresh Meat news, there's a big hub-bub about Shane's (Campus Crawl) appearance on Overdrive. He apparently talks in great detail about Ryan (Fresh Meat), who dated Shane prior to even applying to be on the show. The two broke up with Ryan applied to be on the Fresh Meat Challenge, which Shane knew that he would eventually be a part of. He even disliked the "stalkerish" quality of Ryan so much, that he lobbied to have Ryan thrown off the Challenge. He also makes a comment about Jesse (Fresh Meat) and the ambigious nature of his sexuality. Just for you not keeping tabs, Ryan is Melinda's (Austin) teammate and Jesse is Johanna's (Austin) teammate.

Chris was on the View talking about his book; Rachel and Veronica on the Fishbowl

Chris (Chicago) recently appeared on the View, chatting with the ladies about his new book. Ilene tells us that although the ladies were far more interested on how he cleaned himself up, Chris was kind of vague about it. He also credited his experience on The Real World as helping him recover because the cameras were on him 24-7. Check out his site for updates on Chris.

Both Rachel (Campus Crawl) and Veronica (Semester At Sea) will be appearing on the The Fishbowl, possibly to promote their new reality show with BMP, where they took some random girl and made her one of the "mean girls".

Katie (The Quest) has also updated her blog with a recent Gauntlet II review.

Also, since the Gauntlet II seems to have TONS of quotes that are memorable, we are currently accepting visitor-submitted quotes. If you noticed, we run quotes at the top of the page, which are designed to change everytime you hit "Refresh/Reload". So, if you have a quote that you think belongs up there, submit it to newrwroad@hotmail.com. Make sure the subject line is QUOTES, so we can easily identify the messages.

And finally, many are wondering about the lack of news on Key West and Fresh Meat. Well, paired with the holiday season and the fact that production on both series have wrapped since then, there's very little news to report on future seasons of The Real World or the Challenges. More should come in February, when Key West premieres.

Trishelle and Tonya are on tonight's episode of Kill Reality; Palms suite is on the Surreal Life; Eric is on the Guiding Light

On tonight's episode of Kill Reality both Trishelle (Las Vegas) and Tonya (Chicago) will be featured heavily. The episode has to do with Trishelle's death scene in the movie and both of their relationships with Survivor Pearl Islands' Johnny Fairplay.

If you watch The Surreal Life over on VH1, the seven psuedo-celebrities are being shacked up in The Real World digs in Las Vegas. The pad, which is the infamous site where Britney Spears spent her honeymoon in her first annulled marriage, still remains exactly the same way the seven roomies left it. What's interesting though, is for those of you that didn't know, The Surreal Life owes itself to The Real World. The original title of the Surreal Life was the Surreal World, until BMP sued to have it changed. Surreal Life airs every Sunday night.

Also, Eric (Campus Crawl) recently filmed a guest spot on the Guiding Light which aired last Monday.

Rachel and Veronica may have a new reality show and are casting for it

Rachel and Veronica are looking for someone to star in their new reality show. Check out the details here.

Kristin will be chatting with Veronica and Rachel about the Inferno 2

Wondering what you are going to do today at 5 p.m.(et)/2 p.m.(pt)? You can check out Kristin from E!Online. She will be doing a live chat with Veronica and Rachel about the Inferno 2.

Shavonda stops by the Fishbowl to chat about the Inferno II; Veronica and Rachel selling shirts

Shavonda (Philadelphia) will stop by the The Fishbowl today at 12:00pm Pacific / 3:00pm Eastern. Find out what she thought of her Philadelphia castmembers and the drama that went on in the Inferno II.

Also, CollegeDropout.com, Veronica (Semester at Sea) and Rachel's (Campus Crawl) new site that sells shirts as seen on the Inferno II has been completely redone with new content. Check it out sometime.

Veronica and Rachel start their own company, College Dropout; Kit dropped as host of Cold Pizza

Veronica (Semester at Sea) and Rachel (Campus Crawl) have started a company together... You can check out their shirts, which are all over the Inferno II at www.collegedropout.com.

Also, Kit (USA Tour 1) has been dropped as a host for ESPN's Cold Pizza. While Kit came aboard with the show when it premiered a couple of years ago, no word has been left on the show's website about Kit's departure. Since its premiere, Cold Pizza has been subject to tough reviews and low ratings (averaging a .01% of the share of household cable ratings). According to this USA Today article, the show underwent heavy retooling. The article mentions that Kit will continue on in ESPN, working on other projects like the sports fusion of Apprentice/American Idol, Dream Job.

And on a final note, the Blog hit 6 million visitors recently! Thank you for continuing to visit the best source of Real World and Road Rules information on the net today. (Or at least we think so!)

Steven is sent home for slapping Shane; Shane hooks up with Nick

Here's some more information on Battle of the Sexes 2. Highlight to read:

Apparently, Steven (Las Vegas) makes it relatively far in the Challenge. He's very close to making it to the final three. However, an incident occurs in which I'm told Steven "accidentally" slaps Shane (Campus Crawl) and some sort of a huff is made about it. It's unclear what exactly happens or if Steven gets voted off or is sent home, but it has something to do with his hitting Shane.

Speaking of Shane, supposedly he and Nick (Xtreme) did have something going on during filming. However, it's supposed to be well-hidden and away from the cameras. So we might not even see any of it.

Jamie just finished up his own DVD which follows ex-Real Worlders and Road Rulers on vacation

Here's an official update for Jamie (New Orleans): Jamie recently finished up production on a reality DVD called Reality Road Trip: Bahamas. It brings past reality television stars such as Cara (South Pacific), Roni (Northern Trail), Marybeth (South Pacific), Sarah (Campus Crawl), Malik (Back to New York), Eric (New York) and other castmembers to the Bahamas, catching their trip on tape. It's like a whole new season that you will never forget! You can now purchase this exclusive DVD by going to www.ggdvd.com, where the DVD is exclusively sold.
