Extended Duel trailer begins to run on MTV shedding light on fights, drama and hook-ups

MTV is airing the full trailer on The Duel. Every season MTV releases a one to two minute clip on the Challenge. So far, small Duel promos have been airing, showing small snippets, but nothing substantial. This trailer shows fights, hook-ups, short interviews and a synposis of the season. Here's a brief review of highlights:

  • Beth (Los Angeles) in an interview responding to why she's doing another Challenge.

  • Tina (South Pacific) in an interview asking what is The Duel anyway?

  • CT (Paris) in an interview saying the check should be written to him right now.

  • Flash to TJ Lavin on the first night telling the castmembers that the team concept has been canned. There are only two winners: one male and one female.

  • Then there's all these flashes of upcoming duels.

  • Nehemiah (Austin) saying how they're competing for $500,000.

  • It shows Wes (Austin) and CT (Paris) in a screaming match during their duel.

  • Aneesa (Chicago) announces that she is not trusting anybody.

  • Brad (San Diego) is being confronted in a group by several other people. He then gets up and says that the conversation is fuc&*4 up.

  • Wes proclaiming that it is stupid for anyone to go against him in a duel. Going against him would be going against Satan.

  • Aneesa is fighting with Robin (San Diego) in the kitchen and Aneesa saying that Robin is a disgrace to women.

  • Then they show the now-infamous Beth/Tina altercation and the first few seconds after Tina throws the first punch.

  • So far, Overdrive hasn't uploaded the video. There were many flashes of both duels and hook-ups that we didn't mention because we didn't catch them. New promos are also being run that show extended scenes, such as the argument between Beth and Tina that leads up to the fight. We'll be providing more information as we gather it.

Denver season slated to premiere on October 12, not October 2

TVGuide is displaying the premiere date for The Duel to be on October 3. This comes as a change and makes sense, as there won't be a season of The Real World airing until December. Right now, Two-A-Days is airing on Tuesdays, but that series is wrapping up. Parental Control airs on Mondays. The first episode airing on the 3rd, will be a casting special according to TVGuide.

Update: Promos are now being run on MTV saying that the premiere date of The Duel will be on Thursday, October 12. No word yet on whether or not the October 3rd special date is still valid.

Confessional takes on "Aspen forest theme" in Denver; The Denver house is profiting 600K from sale

OK, Part III of the Denver description. The confessional room, which has always been somewhat of a centerpiece in the house, will continue the Colorado theme. The room will be taking on an "Aspen forest theme".

And Get Real Denver is reporting that the house is getting ready to be sold, although it's not officially on the market yet. BMP actually bought this property for $2.7 million dollars. What's the estimated price on the property now? $3.3 million dollars.

"Evergreen Room" joins "Mountain Peak" in the themes of the Denver house

Another update on a room of the Denver house: One of the other bedrooms, one of the two-person bedrooms, is called the "Evergreen Room", matching the Colorado theme and keeping in theme with the "Mountain Peak" room. One more slight detail will be revealed tomorrow and how they built the confessional room this time around.

Denver house has three bedrooms; First bedroom is revealed to be "Mountain Peak"

Some more updates on the Denver house: There are three bedrooms in total. One with three beds and the other two with two beds apiece. Each bedroom has a "Colorado theme" and the larger bedroom is called "Mountain Peak". No word yet on who takes the larger bedroom, but there are four guys and three girls, so the girls may just end up taking that bedroom.

AOL updates us on the whereabouts of SF's Puck and Hawaii's Colin

AOL came out with a feature article updating on the whereabouts of Reality TV stars of the past. In the gaggle of stars they include, both Puck (San Francisco) and Colin (Hawaii) are mentioned. Again, Puck welcomed his second child recently with his wife Betty and Colin is busy with the college lecture circuit and his book. Check out the article here.

Denver to carry Colorado theme similar to Texas theme of Austin

The new Denver house is apparently heavily themed. Similar to the Austin house, with its huge Texas theme, the Denver house will pay homage to its home state of Colorado.

The common areas include a yellow Jeep with a spider design near the pool table, with the Jeep acting as a sitting area. Also, the Colorado flag is represented in the upstairs floor behind the computer area, emblazoned across the wall. There's also a ski lift that has been re-designed to serve as another sitting area. There are three bedrooms with its own distinctive Colorado theme and the confessional also has its special Colorado theme.

We'll be providing more details about the house in the coming days as more becomes available.

Rumor mill: Road Rules 14 may be casted alongside Real World 19

So a little update on the Road Rules rumor mill. Back in March, BMP announced that Road Rules would be entering a redevelopment stage, along with some content of its other shows such as The Simple Life. In the same announcement, they promised an actual series from T.J. Lavin called T.J.'s Tips and Tricks and The Real Mean Girls starring Veronica (Semester At Sea) and Rachel (Campus Crawl).

So, fast forward to now, if you take a look at BMP's website, they're currently casting for The Real World 19 by holding open calls and accepting tapes. It seems that they're also moving forward with The Real Mean Girls Club. I'm also hearing that casting for the 19th season of The Real World may also be for Road Rules as well. Ever since its inception, Road Rules has been casted from the same applicant pool as The Real World. Although there's no mention of it on the casting site, it's not totally unheard of for them to do this. (ie. Several of the Fresh Meat challengers were finalists for Key West. Linette (Fresh Meat) is known to be one of them.) So, if Road Rules were to be in pre-production, now would be the time that BMP would be casting for it. So send in those tapes!

The Duel to premiere October 2; Denver to premiere December 5

We have two premiere dates (finally) for both The Duel and Denver. Thanks to RJ for this information.

The 13th installment of the Real World / Road Rules Challenge: The Duel begins on October 2, 10/9c.

The 18th installment of The Real World: Denver begins on December 5, 10/9c.

This was announced as part of MTVs fall lineup, with no mention of Road Rules, which is still being re-tooled. There's no official word whether or not production has been dropped as of yet, but the rumor mill is starting and Road Rules may see the light of day yet again.
