MTV will begin to "View and Spew" the Real World and the Challenges; will not do it for Road Rules

If you've been keeping in tune with the recent developments over at MTV, you'll know that MTV is gearing its on-air content toward a more interactive approach. We've seen some of that with Road Rules this year, with some decidedly mixed results.

If you tuned into MTV last night, you saw Damien Fahey, MTV VJ, asking you to comment on your favorite MTV shows after they aired a new episode. You can actually send in videos to MTV.com and they'll air them in an upcoming episode of what they're calling View and Spew.

Both The Real World: Denver, which is close to wrapping up the season, and the Inferno 3 will be a part of the remix which begins Sunday, April 29 at 2pm. This is an effort to boost sagging ratings for the network, which is facing criticism in the light of the fact that even it's two flagship shows The Real World and Road Rules have consistently turned in low ratings this year.

They will not be doing View and Spew for Road Rules, presumably because the network wants to end the show as soon as possible. The show was set to air 18 episodes, but was cut short in order to coincide with the finale of Denver.

That really sucks that Road Rules is ending sooner. It is just such a shame because I really think this season of Road Rules is great. Unfortunately, I must be one of the only ones that likes it.

Me too. This season was the worst. It was a decent idea, just executed poorly in my opinion. I hope their are fresh faces next time around and the rules go back to the way they were. Back when Road Rules was fun to watch.

Oh and hopefully they play re-runs next season, since for some odd reason their hasn't been a single re-run since Abe and Adam fought. Strange...

i hope they replay SAN DIEGO.. that was by far the BEST.. and i love all of the challenges.. esp. Gauntlet and Battle of the Sexes :)

um.....to the person above me, i think they are talking about Real World Denver and Inferno 3. There not going to re-run past seasons of the show. Sorry to burst your bubble!

speaking of road rules, i can't wait for this season to end because it's unbearable to watch. the whole concept sucks. i was hoping the original plan was to vote off the veterans to bring in new people. i personally don't blame the cast, it's all production fault. the rules keep on changing all the time that it can become confusing at times!

Real World: Needs To Get Better Casts, Personally The Last Good Real World Was Philly, Austin And Key West Were Pushing It, Denver Sucked, Sorry.

Road Rules: They Need To Stick To The Concept That Got Them 13 Damn Seasons!

The Challanges: DON"T CHANGE IT!!! PERFECT AS THEY ARE!!!!

I think Philly sucked because it was just plain boring. I also think that this idea for Road Rules was a great idea. I guess MTV just wanted to try something new with Road Rules to see if they could get better ratings.I wonder if they are even going to do another season of Road Rules? I guess they could go back to the way things used to be and do another season. The next season might not get that great of ratings either.
